Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia and is a small and bustling city. On the confluence of the Tonle Sap, Mekong and Bassac rivers it is a growing tourist attraction.

Here you will find a redeveloped waterfront which is lined with bars and restaurants, some top class hotels and interesting museums. Phnom Penh is fast becoming the destination of choice in South East Asia.

From the picturesque beaches and coral sandy coves to the all night parties and colourful go-go bars that ignite the island at night. As perhaps the most popular of islands, Pattaya attracts up to 5 million tourists each year, all looking to share in the fun and excitement of this flamboyant party island.

Colonial style architecture fills the capital of Cambodia which is starting to recover from the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge rule in the late 1970’s. During their 4 year period of rain the Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot massacred 1.5 million people. The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is a must see attraction and acts as a chilling reminder of the country’s turbulent past.

Phnom Penh is also home to some spectacular temples and monasteries, chief of which is the Silver Pagoda. The temple’s floor is made out of 5000 silver tiles and there is a life size Buddha made of solid gold and encrusted in 10,000 diamonds.

Come to Phnom Penh for its history and culture, discover the charms of the small markets, or stop for a quiet drink and some food on the waterfront. Enjoy Cambodia, the new wonder of the orient!
